Dylan Edwards has revealed that James Tedesco was one of the first people to reach out to him after he was named as the NSW fullback for the State of Origin series.
Edwards was a surprise selection for the Blues, but he has quickly proven himself to be a valuable member of the team. In his first two games, he has scored two tries and set up another two.
Tedesco, who was the NSW fullback for the past three years, was full of praise for Edwards after his performance in the Blues' 38-6 win over Queensland in Game Two.
"He's a great player and he's playing with a lot of confidence at the moment," Tedesco said. "He's a real threat to the opposition and he's going to be a key player for NSW in this series."
Edwards said he was grateful for Tedesco's support.
"He's a legend of the game and it means a lot to me to have his support," Edwards said. "I'm just trying to do my best for NSW and I'm glad I'm able to contribute to the team's success."
