The 2021 Eurovision Song Contest was held in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on May 18-22. 39 countries participated in the contest, with Italy's Måneskin winning with the song "Zitti e buoni".
The contest was originally scheduled to be held in 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first Eurovision Song Contest to be held since 2019.
The 2021 contest was the largest Eurovision Song Contest ever, with 39 countries participating. The previous record was set in 2008, when 43 countries participated.
The 2021 contest was also the first to be held in the Netherlands since 1980. The Netherlands has hosted the contest five times, more than any other country.
The 2021 contest was won by Italy, which gave the country its third Eurovision win. Italy's previous wins were in 1964 and 1990.
