Pirates of the Caribbean actor and lifeguard Tamayo Perry dies in apparent shark attack
Eight-year veteran of Honolulu Ocean Safety and well-known North Shore waterman
WEB Tamayo Perry, known for his roles in Pirates of the Caribbean and as a lifeguard on the North Shore of Oahu, has died at the age of 49 after an apparent shark attack.
Perry's death was confirmed by the Honolulu Medical Examiner's Office on Friday.
According to witnesses, Perry was surfing at a break known as "Shark's Cove" on the North Shore of Oahu when he was attacked by a shark. Perry was able to make it back to shore, but he died from his injuries.
