Investigation Underway after Fatal Motorcycle Accident
A motorcyclist was killed Thursday afternoon in a collision with a vehicle in South San Jose. The crash occurred around 4:10 p.m. on Highway 101 near Winfield Boulevard and Furlong Drive.
According to the San Jose Police Department, a 53-year-old motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Highway 101 when he collided with a car that was stopped in the HOV lane. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact the San Jose Police Department.
