Lynnfield Strip Mall Shooting Leaves One Dead, Four Injured

Lynnfield Police are investigating a shooting at a strip mall that left one person dead and four injured.

The shooting occurred at the Market Basket plaza on Lynnfield Street at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

According to witnesses, a gunman opened fire on a group of people outside the plaza. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and four others were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Essex County District Attorney's Office is assisting Lynnfield Police in the investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
